Music for New Year 2009

It's a bit late to listen the Vienna New Year concert 2009, anyway, after having listened to the Concert yesterday, played by the Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra and directed for the first time by David Barenboim, one can really say that the New Year has finally started!


Every Year in the morning of 1st January in Vienna classical music concert takes place in Austria. This tradition continued from last 70 years. The 1st New Year's Concert in Vienna was in 1939. This classical music by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. More than one billion people watch the events on TV in around 44 countries. This time Daniel Barenboim will direct the New Year's Concert 2009.

The traditional New Year's Concert Vienna Philharmonic on January 1, 2009, the head of the Argentine-Israeli conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim will be the first place. With the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 1965 as a pianist and started in 1989 for the first time all turn into orchestral music, ideas and work outside the concert hall of the importance of music listen to your abilities adds. Merry Christmas 2008

The holiday season is the perfect time to celebrate with friends and colleagues. But why stop at the holidays? Any time of year is a good time to spend with cherished ones. It seems people in China do not have too much idea to celebrate the Christmas; they are still enjoying taking these changes to gather with their friends. Whether the goal is to eat and be merry, there are many reasons to host/attend a good party.

However, there is no Christmas holiday for most of the cities in China, and people may only be off three days for New Year holiday, since we still take one week off to celebrate our Traditional Chinese New Year Holiday.

For this X’mas, I have spent last two nights on gathering with my colleague and friend. And I also called my parents to come to the place I work – Qingdao to celebrate the new year together. They came here for several times, but they never walk around. I will show them more about this city where I may settle my “home”. (Just “Maybe”…….)

My dear friend, As we put all our work down for the holidays, I want to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas! May the joy of the season be with your family, your friends, and most of all, with you. Whether you spend it with others or on your own, remember that the holiday lasts for only a very short time each year (whether that’s for better or worse for you) — so savor it; or if you dread it, trust that it’ll be over before you know it!

Today is Monday, my second Christian home meeting in K's home.
God send K to know me on 25th. Dec.-- Christmas Day of 2006.
Is it just a coincident or God's arrangement? -- Only God knows.

I did "I Do" Pray today.
My God, the soul you have placed within me is pure;
You breathed of yourself into my flesh;
Creating and forming in me a deep awareness of Your Presence.
I'd like to open my hear;
Follow your though for lifetime;
Spend every day with your guide.

When i talked to you,
My eyes is shining;
My heard is warming;
My soul is jumping;
Every word I said is printed in my hears;

Back to past,
You have sent many people to help me,
Get me out of many problem;
I never understand this.
But today, i feel you.

Thank You for everything you did;
I believe I will be stronger and stronger,
Under your guide.

Philosophy and life

I don't know how much the people know abut Philosophy, and those famous philosopher such as Jesus, Sakyamuni，Confucius, Socrates，Nietzsche，Confucius etc.

When the time I'm in school, teachers do not teachtoo much about philosophy, what we know is only the few name of the philosopher (Many Chinese people still confuse blind faith with philosophy)

For me, the word "Philosophy" was myth, it just like something I could never understand. And this word seems not meaning anything to me.

It sounds very stupid, right? Yes, it is. But it was real in my mind; I believe there are my people have the same thinking like me before. Until the time I heard someone explain me that the word "Philosophy" is consist of two world "Philia" and "Sophia" and it stands for "Love" and "Knowledge". Suddenly, I get out from dark. It is a life knowledge which collects by old generations, and they will tell us the way of thinking, let us discover the hidden power in human's deep heart by ourself.

I thought I was smart before, but it is not real smart when I review myself now. There are too many things for me for find out. One person's life is too short to get to know everything. The more you know, more foolish you think you are.

I think everyone have read 《Analects of Confucius》in your school time. But my understanding about those articles is very different in different period. Because we are forced to learn it in school, no one likes to be forced. And second reason is we never experience it, therefore, we could not read it through hear.

For example, Lao Tzu said "The 'Dao’ can be experienced is not the real 'Dao'. I think it is very hard to explain what is "Dao", no one can tell you what is that, if something can explain it very clear, then it is not real “Dao”. You got to feel it with your experience. Without experience, it just a confused sentence. Life experience can make it alive.

Maybe life is a continued process of looking up to something, or maybe we all need some dreams as we once did as a youth and by which we will regain the strength and power and move ahead with the life.

"Unexamined life is not worth living" -Socrates. The giant have given us some guideline, may be we should find out the real meaning of the life.

New 100 m world record 9.69 by Bolt

16th. Aug: Dude was so quick he raised his hands in celebration twenty meters from the finish, coasted to the win and still set the world record. If you haven’t heard of Bolt, who easily broke his own record, you aren’t alone. When i read the newspaper, i found his shoe belt is opened, it is really unbelievable! Usain Bolt.. well.. he finish from mid-way in a world record of 9.69 secs. The second guy clocked 9.89 sec, which means 0.20 secs behind - which is a BIG time difference in 100m! Look at how amazing the difference was in this match

New 200 m world record 19.32 by Bolt

Bolt becomes the first runner since Carl Lewis in 1984 to win both the 100 and 200m races in the same Olympics. He also becomes the first runner ever to eclipse both world records in the same games. He broke Michael Johnson’s record of 19.32 by running 19.30. There was no slowing up this time as Bolt ran hard to the finish and set the record. After he won the 100m he caught mad wreck from media pundits for coasting the last 20 meters in gold medal winning celebration.

Bolt won the 200m in a sick 0.52 seconds over the silver medalist.lt has become a standout in these Olympics along the lines of Michael Phelps. He push the human utmost to highest point, a 21 year old young man,setting himself up for a nice career. Is he the next best?

Wellesley Bolt said his son was partial to the vegetable grown in the north-western area of Jamaica where the sprinter was born.

The yam grown in the parish Trelawny is one of the staples that has made the area famous. It is sold in huge volumes here and much of it is exported. Beijing New Building for Olympic

I was in Beijing for a biz trip last week, when i sit with one local Beijing guy -(we call him" K") for dinner. He is a really funny guy who told me many story which i neer heard before. The most interesting one is :

K: Do you know the most famous building in Beijing in 2008?

J: Ofcourse, I think everybody knows, right? Bird Nest and Water Cube

K: Do you know any other famous one?

J:: No.

K: Give you some tips. It's all related to Bird.

J: Still got no idea.

K: Look! You know there is Bird's Nest, so there must be a Bird, so there is Bird' Man. There is a bird man, there must be Bird Leg and Bird Egg.

J: It's real funny. I thought it is just a joke, but he tell me more about it. And after i search from Internet, it is really interesting.

Bird Egg -- National Theather, invested 3.8 billion, the total cost is equal to 10964 school building.

Bird Nest -- Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, invested 3.1 billion, and 20 million kg steel.

Bird Legs --- CCTV center, invested 10 billion

Bird Man -- NiNi, Olympic Mascot, he is a bird and also a human.

Rolling out the Green Carpet for the Olympics

China has had to face its own environmental nightmares on the global stage. Air pollution from automobiles has changed driving restrictions, factories are being threatened to shut down, and now the lake in Qingdao being used for aquatic competitions is filled with algae. In some areas the lake may be several feet deep in algae growth which would seriously impede any boat.

China has responded with its foremost asset: people. It has been reported that more than 20,000 people are now actively removing the green carpet by hand. Until 5th, July, 36 36,000 metric tons of algae have been removed.

It's really a great scene that you can see High school student, college student, army, office lady, farmer......... many people with different background from 6 years old boy to 60 years old man with one belief: One world, one dream.

Count me as a public volunteer tomorrow.
